This is my 8th year at Dwight Township High School, but I've been a teacher for 18 years.  I've worked in the Joliet area schools, St. John Brebeuf in Niles, IL and at my alma mater Tri-Point High School in Cullom.

I earned my bachelor's degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and completed my master's degree at Olivet Nazarene University.  I also studied Math Education as a graduate student at DePaul University.

I teach Algebra, Pre-Calculus, and Calculus.  I'm one of the sponsors of the Mathletes and the coach of Scholastic Bowl.

Algebra I is a two semester course that will cover the real number system and its related properties; inequalities: monomials and polynomials; linear and quadratic functions; the coordinate plane; systems of open sentences; and radical expressions.

Pre-Calculus is a course that connects Algebra to Calculus.  It can be taken by juniors or seniors who have successfully completed Algebra 2.  Students who earn an appropriate Compass test score may take this course for dual credit with Joliet Junior College.

AP Calculus is a college course for seniors who have succeeded in Discrete Mathematics and Trigonometry.  Calculus can be used to optimize various situations throughout business, physics, chemistry, and biology.  Students may elect to earn 5 hours of dual credit from Joliet Junior College if they qualify with their Compass test results.
